Number One Retirement Calculator
See what the years could add up to.
Enter your age, what you have saved, and what you can put aside each month. We compound monthly and sketch a nest egg at retirement — in your browser, nothing uploaded. Figures are a planning aid, not financial advice.
We compare this with a 4% withdrawal from the nest egg — a common rule of thumb, not a guarantee.

How this retirement calculator works
This is a savings and pension-pot sketch, not a forecast. We take what you have now, add a monthly deposit, and compound at the annual return you type — monthly, the same way our investment calculator grows a lump sum. Time in the market does most of the work; a few extra years often beats a slightly higher rate.
The 4% income check
The “safe withdrawal” cards take 4% of the nest egg as a first-year income. That is the well-known 4% rule from US market history: a starting draw that, in many past 30-year stretches, did not empty the pot. It is not a promise. Fees, taxes, inflation, sequence of returns, and how you actually spend will move the number. State pensions, Social Security, and workplace schemes sit outside this page.
If you set a yearly spend
We treat that spend as 4% of a target pot, then see whether today’s plan reaches it. If it falls short, we show the extra monthly savings that would close the gap at the same return. If you already overshoot, we say so. Markets are lumpy; treat a “gap” as a prompt to look again, not as a grade.
